TRUNK SHOW: FEB 2-4 (Fairfax, Virginia)

I'm delighted to be bringing my tiny things to the Mosaic District in Fairfax, VA. The Torpedo Factory Artists' Association opened a new art venue there, and it's gorgeous! If you're local to the DC region, it'll be a great weekend to check out my newest pieces and customer favorites in person, and an opportunity to browse the current show on view (Uncommon Visions).

I'm bringing new work and these favorites too:

Florida CraftArt Members' Show Award

Easily, what I miss the most from my short time living in Florida (besides the mild winters) is regularly visiting Florida CraftArt in St. Petersburg. The lovely staff packs the lovely gallery with fine craft by artisans from all over Florida and across the US. Having relocated to Florida on-the-fly, I felt so lucky to have found an immensely supportive creative community. It was through this organization that I was able to participate in my first outdoor art fair through the Emerging Artist Scholarship at the Florida CraftArt Festival in 2015 (THANKS Y'ALL!). Even though I've moved out of state, I'm grateful to still regularly show my work in the gallery during the holiday season.

This fall, I was honored to be invited to show in the prestigious annual Members' Exhibition, "Contemporary Craft at its Finest", a multi-disciplinary collection of the best recent works by members. And I was especially thrilled to learn I had been awarded third place in the exhibition!

These three pieces are enjoying their stay in the sunshine state.
